Everyone has been in an unfair situation and sometimes when that happens people around them simply say, "Life's unfair so deal with it.” I agree with the first part, that life's unfair, but the part about just leaving the injustice to continue, now that's wrong. This is when a lawyer can step in, and do their job by helping others protect their rights.
There are lawyers who for money and fame, but I want to be a lawyer that only works for justice. I don't think that working for the good would always be easy, but working hard to help others would defiantly be worth it. There is a lawyer from Canada that actually got an award by devoting himself to social justice and his name is Lucas Lung. In the article written about him he wrote how he thinks being a lawyer gave him the chance to do serve others. He also said something very similar to my mission statement, he said that he enjoys being the one, people use to voice their problems legally. As an individual my goal is to be a lawyer like Lucas Lung, whose job is helps others and makes the world a fairer place.
